Michalis Kyriakou
Coach since 2019
Graduated the Semmelweis University in Hungary (2003) in the Hungarian language, as a Physical Education teacher specialising in Kayaking.
Michalis is a level 2 coach in dragon boat and since 2019 he has been coaching the Cyprus Mouflons Paddlesports Dragonboat Teams.
Since 2003 he has been working at the LNC as Kayaking-Canoeing Coach, winning 16 out of 22 National Championships organised by the Cyprus Federation. Since 2004, he has also been a P.E. teacher at the Limassol Grammar School, one of the most renowned private schools of the island.
As both a coach and athlete, Michalis participated in many World, European Championships and International Regattas.
Christos Georgiou
Coach Since 2022
Formally trained as a physicist, Christos is a Dragon boat Coach since 2008.
A founding member and CYDBF’s first chairman (2008-2015), Christos led a team of 4 who built the Cyprus Dragonboat Federation from Scratch.
As the current president of the CYDBF he acts as a Liaison between the federation and state authorities.
His coaching duties in Cyprus Mouflons Paddlesports include development of the sport in Larnaca as well as improvement of the Club crews' paddling technique.
